At its meeting on October 2nd, the Standing Committee on City Services and Budgets heard from speakers on the Administrative Report entitled “Automated Meter Reading & Water Billing Improvements” dated September 16, 2008. At its Regular Council meeting immediately following, Council agreed to postpone consideration of the following to allow for further discussion and report back to Council by December 16, 2008:
THAT five CUPE 15 Regular Full Time Water Rates Inspectors Positions be eliminated (four Water Rates Inspector I’s and one Water Rates Inspector III).
Accordingly, the Administrative Report dated November 14, 2008 [PDF ], entitled “Automated Meter Reading System Implementation – CUPE 15 Positions”, refers.
