SUBJECT:	Authority to Travel to Calgary, Alberta for the Urban Transportation Council Meeting - February 27-28, 1999

RECOMMENDATION

THAT Council authorize Councillor Gordon Price to travel to Calgary, Alberta, for the Urban Transportation Council Meeting, February 27-28, 1999 at an estimated cost of $736.37.

The City Manager submits the foregoing for CONSIDERATION.

COUNCIL POLICY

Council's travel policy, approved July 31, 1992, requires Council approval for travel within North America.

PURPOSE

This report requests approval for Councillor Price to travel to Calgary for the Urban Transportation Council Meeting, February 27-28, 1999. Councillor Price is the Chair of the City of Vancouver's Transportation and Traffic Committee, and has recently been appointedto the Board of Directors of the Greater Vancouver Transportation Association.
