Decisions (Minutes) of this meeting

Adoption of the Minutes of the Vancouver Liquor Licensing Commission meeting of January 8, 1998.

1. Motor Vessel "Black Tie"; -

Class 'A' Lounge Liquor License

The attached Administrative Report dated January 22, 1998, refers.

The applicant has been notified and may wish to attend this meeting.

2. 800 Granville Street - O'Kool's Irish Pub Inc.

Class 'D' Neighbourhood Pub

The attached Administrative Report dated January 19, 1998, refers.

The applicant has been notified of this meeting and a neighbourhood notification carried out within a 1,000-foot radius of the site.

3. B.C. Cabaret Owners’ Association

During its last meeting, the Commission requested that arrangements be made for the Commission to meet regularly with representatives of the various associations which represent licensed premises operating in the City.

Accordingly, Mr. Roger Gibson, B.C. Cabaret Owners’ Association, will be in attendance to discuss issues of concern to his Association.

A brief submitted by Mr. Gibson will be circulated prior to the meeting.

4. Northwest Conference for Best Practices and Policies

in Alcohol Management and Oversight

At its January 8, 1998 meeting, the Commission deferred consideration of this item to the February 5th meeting.

The Chair attended the Conference on December 4, 1997, and will provide an update.

The attached Good Neighbour Contracts/Demonstration Project from the Cities of New Westminster, Seattle and Portland, refer.
