THAT Council nominate Paul Mochrie, Deputy City Manager, to represent the City of Vancouver on the E-Comm Board of Directors for the 2018-2019 term, such Board to be appointed by E-Comm shareholders at the June 21, 2018, Annual General Meeting.

Appointment to the Vancouver Economic Commission Board

A. THAT the resignation of Shahrzad Rafati from the Vancouver Economic Commission Board of Directors be accepted as of April 18, 2018.

B. THAT Catherine Winder be appointed to the Vancouver Economic Commission Board of Directors, term to commence April 18, 2018, and end at the 2021 Annual General Meeting.

Appointments to Advisory Bodies

A. THAT the following individuals be appointed to the Children, Youth and Families Advisory Committee, representing the 14 years of age or younger category, terms to commence immediately, and end November 4, 2018:

B. THAT Danny Ramadan be appointed to the LGBTQ2+ Advisory Committee, term to commence immediately, and end November 4, 2018.

C. THAT the following individuals be appointed to the Persons with Disabilities Advisory Committee, terms to commence immediately and end November 4, 2018.

D. THAT Alyssa Koehn be appointed to the Vancouver City Planning Commission, term to commence immediately and end December 31, 2018, or until a successor is appointed.

E. THAT Craig Rogers be appointed to the Vancouver Heritage Commission, term to commence immediately and end December 2, 2018, or until a successor is appointed.

F. THAT the following individuals be appointed to the Vancouver Heritage Foundation Board of Directors, term to commence May 7, 2018, and end April, 2020, or until successors are appointed:

Walk for Reconciliation Commemorations Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza Name


A. That Council acknowledge and endorse the name identified by the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil Waututh (“MST”) Nations for the Vancouver Art Gallery (“VAG”) North plaza, as part of an Indigenous naming pilot for City of Vancouver assets and amenities.


B. That council refer the name to the Provincial government as the landowner of the Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza for their acceptance of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil Waututh Nations’ proposed name.


C. THAT Council work with the Musqueam, Squamish, Tsleil Waututh Nations and the Provincial government to ensure that appropriate efforts are put into popularizing the pronunciation of the name of the new plaza.
