UNFINISHED BUSINESS

1.   Roadway Modifications at Boundary Road and Grandview Highway and the Highway 1 off ramp at Boundary Road (Video Clip of this Item)

At the Standing Committee on City Services and Budgets meeting on October 18, 2007, Council heard from speakers regarding this matter.

Council approved the following:

THAT Council approve the following geometric roadway modifications, subject to approval of their final costs:

•  The construction of left turn bays to allow left turns from Grandview Highway to Boundary Road ; and,

•  Closure of the median on Boundary Road at 11 th Avenue to improve safety near the Highway 1 off ramp at Boundary Road .

Council also referred the following to the next Regular Council meeting on October 30, 2007, as Unfinished Business and requested additional information as noted below:

THAT Council approve the following geometric roadway modification, subject to approval of its' final cost:

The addition of High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) queue jumper lanes on Grandview Highway ;

FURTHER THAT Staff provide additional information on the implications of greenhouse gas and particulate emissions.

The Administrative Report, dated July 9, 2007, refers (limited distribution to Council Members only) .
