ADOPTION OF MINUTES
The minutes of the meeting of May 15, 2003, to be adopted.
1. Juno Beach Centre - Memorial Donation
The attached Administrative Report dated May 20, 2003, refers.
A copy of the report has been provided to the Director of the Juno Beach Centre Association, who may wish to speak.
2. A.S.T.C. Science World - Annual Review and 2003 Operating Grant Request
The attached Administrative Report dated May 2, 2003, refers.
Copies of the report have been provided to interested parties, some of whom may wish to speak.
3. H.R. MacMillan Space Centre Society - Annual Review and 2003 Operating Grant Request
The attached Administrative Report dated May 2, 2003, refers.
Copies of the report have been provided to interested parties, some of whom may wish to speak.
4. Parking Operations & Enforcement Branch - Service Level Updates and Parking Meter Rate Changes
Vancouver City Council, at its meeting immediately following the May 15, 2003, City Services and Budgets meeting postponed consideration of Recommendation A in the attached Administrative Report to the May 29, 2003, Standing Committee on City Services and Budgets meeting to hear from delegations.
As the May 29th Standing Committee meeting was cancelled, this item was rescheduled to today's meeting. The relevant extract from the minutes and Administrative Report dated April 23, 2003, are attached and refer.
The President of CUPE Local 15 has requested to speak to this matter.
5. Funding for Purchasing Equipment for Community Events in the Downtown Eastside
The attached Administrative Report dated May 1, 2003, refers.
Copies of the report have been provided to interested parties, some of whom may wish to speak.
6. 2003 Celebration Grant Recommendations, Spring Deadline
Vancouver City Council, at its meeting on May 27, 2003, when dealing with the attached Administrative Report dated May 13, 2003, approved grants to 13 organizations listed in Table 1 and agreed to hear from speakers at a future Standing Committee meeting.
The relevant extract from the Council meeting is attached and refers.
A request to speak has been received from DERA.
