Adoption of Minutes

The Minutes of April 11, 2002, to be adopted.

1. 1526 Kingsway - By-law Violations

The attached Administrative Report dated April 5, 2002, refers.

The report has been provided to interested parties, some of whom may wish to speak.

2. Re-design of Pacific Boulevard

At its meeting on April 23, 2002, Vancouver City Council received a Report Reference on this matter and referred decision to this meeting of the Standing Committee on Planning and Environment in order to hear from members of the public who may wish to speak.

The relevant Policy Report dated April 11, 2002, was previously distributed and is on file (LIMITED DISTRIBUTION).

The attached letter dated April 19, 2002, from the Vancouver Bicycle Advisory Committee, also refers.

Interested parties have been notified, some of whom may wish to speak.

3. Municipal Governments Urge Ratification of the Kyoto Protocol

Vancouver City Council, at its meeting on April 23, 2002, referred a motion on this matter to a future Standing Committee meeting in order to hear from a person wishing to speak.

An extract from the Minutes of the April 23, 2002, meeting is attached and refers.

ADDENDUM

4. Vancouver City Council Support for National Harm Reduction Pilot Project

Vancouver City Council, at its meeting on March 26, 2002, referred a motion on the above-noted matter to a future Standing Committee meeting.

The Standing Committee on Planning & Environment, at its meeting on April 25, 2002, began hearing from speakers on this item. Due to time constraints, it was agreed to continue this matter at the May 2, 2002, meeting.
