Board of Variance and Parking Variance Board – Appointments

A. THAT Council rescind the appointment of George Chow to the Board of Variance and Parking Variance Board under Section 572(2.1) of the Vancouver Charter effective immediately.

B. THAT Council appoint Tony Tang to the Board of Variance and Parking Variance Board for a term effective immediately and ending on December 31, 2016.

C. THAT Council appoint George Chow to the Board of Variance and Parking Variance Board under the Vancouver Charter Section 572(2) for a term beginning on January 1, 2017, and ending June 30, 2018.

 

Proposal to Lease Queen Elizabeth Theatre Restaurant Space

A. THAT Council approve the Term Sheet set out in Appendix C of the Administrative Report dated June 23, 2016, entitled “Proposal to Lease Queen Elizabeth Theatre Restaurant Space” outlining the salient terms of a proposed lease with Kered Hospitality Ltd. for both the plaza level restaurant space (addressed at 649 Cambie Street) and the lower level Media Club space (addressed at 695 Cambie Street), both located at Queen Elizabeth Theatre, as shown on Appendix B of the above-noted report.

B. THAT Council authorize staff to proceed with further lease negotiations with Kered Hospitality Ltd. based on the Term Sheet.

C. THAT the Media Club operator and owner be advised forthwith of Council’s concurrence to proceed with further negotiations for a lease with Kered Hospitality Ltd. for both the restaurant and Media Club spaces at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
