ADOPTION OF MINUTES

The minutes of the meeting of July 8, 1999, to be adopted.

1.Environmental Grant

The attached Administrative Report dated July 15, 1999, refers. The applicant wishes to speak.

2. Nuisance Building - 5675 Churchill Street

The attached Administrative Report dated July 14, 1999, refers.

Copies of the report have been distributed to interested parties, some of whom may wish to speak.

3. Development of the Ridgeway Greenway - East Extension

The attached Administrative Report dated July 6, 1999, refers.

Copies of the report have been distributed to interested parties, some of whom may wish to speak.

4. Italian Cultural Center - Space for School

At its meeting of July 6/8, 1999, City Council was advised that the Italian Cultural Centre wishes to provide space for the Stratford Academy to take up residence at the Center in September. Staff were requested to expedite the necessary measures in order to accommodate this timetable. Staff are holding a meeting in the community on July 27th to discuss the matter.

Rob Whitlock, Planner, will provide a verbal report on this item.

5. Review of Time-Limited Development Permit Policy

for Liquor Licensed Establishments

The relevant Policy Report dated July 21, 1999, will be distributed when available.

Copies of the report will be distributed to interested parties, some of whom may wish to speak.

6. (a) Child and Youth Advocate Position

7. Replacement of Firehall #3, 2801 Quebec Street - Award of Construction Contract

At its meeting of July 27, 1999, Vancouver City Council referred this item to the July 29, 1999 meeting of the Standing Committee on Planning and Environment to allow four delegations to be heard. The attached Administrative Report dated July 14, 1999, refers. Council agreed to commence its meeting at 1:30 p.m. in order to accommodate this additional item, which will be dealt with first.

NOTICE

A Regular Council meeting will be convened immediately following the Standing Committee meeting.
