RECOMMENDATION
1. Special Advisory Committee Conference Funding File: 3105-1

At its meeting on October 7, 1997 Vancouver City Council approved funding in the amount of $3,500.00 for Special Advisory Committee members to attend local conferences.
The Vancouver Heritage Commission, at its January 18, 1999 meeting, discussed the benefits of educating Commissioners to better perform their duties. The workshop listed below would be particularly useful in aiding Commission members in the area of reviewing proposed developments, therefore many members have indicated an interest in attending:
"The Economics of Heritage Conservation," SFU Downtown, February 26, 1999
- Two Commissioners @ $100.00 ea. = $200.00Individual members have paid for the above workshop and hope to be reimbursed.
Therefore, the Commission
RECOMMENDS
THAT Vancouver City Council approve funding in the amount of $200.00 to send two Vancouver Heritage Commissioners to "The Economics of Heritage Conservation", a workshop taking place at Simon Fraser University in February, 1999; source of funding to be the Local Conference Budget, overseen by the City Clerk.
