ADOPTION OF MINUTES

The minutes of the meeting of April 23, 1998, to be adopted.

1. Review of Proposed Partnership with Richmond for the Joint Production of Asphalt

The attached Administrative Report, dated April 6, 1998, was originally scheduled for the Vancouver City Council meeting of April 21, 1998. However, due to a delegation request, the report was referred to the Standing Committee meeting.

A representative for the B.C. Road Builders & Heavy Construction Association will be speaking.

2. Compressed Work Week

The attached Administration Report, dated April 23, 1998, was scheduled for the Standing Committee on City Services and Budgets meeting of April 30, 1998. However, to allow civic unions time to prepare a response, consideration of the report was deferred to the Committee’s meeting of May 14.

Representatives for CUPE 15 - Vancouver Municipal Education & Community Workers; Vancouver Association of Civic Managerial & Professional Staff; and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 213; as well as other interested parties, are scheduled to speak.
