SUBJECT: Water Opportunities Advisory Group - Draft Blueways Document

and Recommendations for Further Work

On October 9, 1997, the Standing Committee on Planning & Environment heard delegations on the draft Blueways document dated September 1997 (previously distributed), as well as the attached* Policy Report dated September 24, 1997 putting forward recommendations for further work.

Following the Standing Committee meeting, Council approved the following recommendations of the Committee:

A.THAT a decision on the recommendations for future work on the Draft Blueways Document be referred to the next meeting of City Council.

B.THAT Councillor Sam Sullivan and the Water Opportunities Advisory Group be thanked for a job well done.

Accordingly, this matter is resubmitted for Council’s consideration.
