UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. Downtown Vancouver Skyline Study - Final Decision
A Special Council meeting was held on April 7, 1997 for the purpose
of hearing delegations concerning the recommended option for the
Downtown Vancouver Skyline Study. Due to the number of delegations
appearing before Council, the meeting was reconvened on April 22nd.
At the conclusion of the April 22, 1997 meeting, Council agreed
that a final decision on this matter would be made under Unfinished
Business at the next Regular Council meeting.
Minutes of the Special Council meeting (Minute #4, which will be
distributed on Thursday) refers.
2. Gastown Lighting
At the City Services and Budgets Committee meeting on April 24,
1997, the Committee heard representations from four speakers, all
of whom spoke in favour of retaining the incandescent lighting for
Gastown. Several requested time to find alternate funding
solutions.
Due to time constraints, the Committee agreed to defer decision on
this item to a future meeting.
Accordingly, the Administrative Report dated March 12, 1997 is
resubmitted for Council s consideration.
