1. Parking Meters on Main Street - King Edward to 29th Avenue FILE: 5654

A. THAT Parking Meter By-Law 2952 be amended to allow for the installation of parking meters on Main Street, and adjacent side streets, from King Edward to 29^th Avenue, as shown on Appendix A of the Administrative Report, dated May 11, 2000, with the rate set at $1.00 per hour.

B. THAT the estimated $120,000 cost to purchase and install parking meters and $15,000 in added annual costs be funded from increased meter revenues.

C. THAT the Director of Legal Services bring forward the amendments to By-Law 2952 to reflect Recommendation A.

2. Corner Bulges for School Crosswalks FILE: 5757

THAT Council approve the construction of corner bulges to improve the pedestrian environment at the existing school crosswalks on Pender Street at Princess, on Slocan Street at Norquay, on 16th Avenue at Balaclava, on 22nd Avenue at Cassiar and on 22nd Avenue at Penticton, and that funding of $123,000 be allocated from Streets Basic Capital Unappropriated Account 30000326 - Local Area Traffic Plans and Other Improvements.

3. Raised School Crosswalk - Laurel at 24th FILE: 5702

A. THAT the raised crosswalk constructed on a trial basis on Laurel Street at 24th Avenue be permanently retained.

B. THAT raised crosswalks be added to the tool kit of traffic calming measures used in the City of Vancouver where warranted.
