1. License Application Hearing

Price Low Foods, 6517 Main Street File: 2711-21

A. THAT a 1999 business license not be issued to the Applicant, Charanjit Singh Mrock, also known as Tony Mrock, doing business as Price Low Foods, 6517 Main Street, Vancouver, B.C. because the Applicant is likely to carry on business to the detriment of the safety and well being of the public in that:

(a) the Applicant has been closely involved in the operation of All India Foods, 6517 Main Street, Vancouver, British Columbia (hereinafter “All India Foods”), and failed to properly manage All India Foods by:

(i) failing to deal with a rodent infestation problem at All India Foods;
(ii) failing to respond to closure orders at All India Foods, issued by the Medical Health Officer, in contravention of Section 3.1 of the Health By-law;
(iii) causing a drain on public resources due to the manner in which All India Foods was managed;

(b) the application by Charanjit Singh Mrock is not an independent application, but is in fact an application on behalf of Karnail Singh Mrock, and therefore an attempt to circumvent the Council Resolution of July 27, 1999.
