SUBJECT:	Appointment of By-law Process Servers

RECOMMENDATION

THAT Council approve the appointment of Shelly Ann Moss and Cheryl Ann Beaton as By-law Process Servers to serve summonses for infractions of City By-laws, effective immediately.

GENERAL MANAGER’S COMMENTS

The General Manager of Corporate Services RECOMMENDS approval of the foregoing.

POLICY

There is no Council policy directly applicable to this matter. However, in accordance with Section 23 of the Offence Act, specific Council approval of this appointment is required.

DISCUSSION

Shelly Ann Moss and Cheryl Ann Beaton have received the required clearances by the R.C.M.P. and the Vancouver Police Department. This appointment is needed to fill temporarily vacated positions.
