1. 1999 Operating Budget - Projections

At its meeting on October 6, 1998, City Council received a Report Reference on the 1999 Operating Budget projections. Council deferred action on the recommendations contained in the attached Administrative Report, dated October 1, 1998, to allow the hearing of delegations at the October 22 City Services and Budgets Standing Committee meeting.

In addition, Council requested that, prior to the October 22, 1998 meeting, staff provide an information memo on the general direction of the City’s economy, and on the implications to policy projects which will be affected by the proposed elimination of three positions in the Social Planning, Housing and Planning Departments.

Also attached is a memorandum, dated October 2, 1998, from the Comptroller of Budgets & Research providing additional information on the 1999 Operating Budget projections.

2. Possible Withholding Action for 2596 Kitchener Street

Clinton Park West RS-1S Interim Zoning Review Study Area

The attached Administrative Report dated October 13, 1998, was withdrawn from the October 20, 1998 Council agenda to allow the hearing of delegations.
