RECOMMENDATION
A.THAT the projects "by petition" in Court #584 be approved.
B.THAT projects by "Initiative Principle" in Court #585 be approved except for the defeated items and special item #24 as explained in this report.
COUNCIL POLICY
Policies governing the Local Improvement process are set out in the Vancouver Charter and Local Improvements Procedure by-law.
PURPOSE
Projects by Petition and on the Initiative Principle have been advanced under the provisions of the Local Improvements Procedure By-law and will come before a Court of Revision on June 16, 1998.

Earles Street, West Side, from 43rd Avenue to 44th Avenue
This project was one of four sidewalk projects initiated along the Ridgeway Greenway. One of the two owners affected by this improvement is opposed and we could not confirm with the remaining owner what their position is on this matter. Therefore, we are withdrawing this project at this time.
Capital Funds
Funds for the City's share of the projects are available from existing Engineering Department Basic Capital Accounts.
