MEMO TO: Vancouver City Council

FROM: Mayor Philip W. Owen

RE: Greater Vancouver Transit Authority Board Members

The Greater Vancouver Transit Authority (GVTA) Representation Task Force has considered the matter of sub-regional representation on the GVTA Board. As a result, the City of Vancouver, including Electoral Area A, has been designated to the Vancouver sub-region and allocated three member representatives to serve on the GVTA Board.

Therefore, I am pleased to nominate the following Council members for consideration:

Don Bellamy

Gordon Price

George Puil.

At this time I would ask Council to approve these appointments. The City Clerk should advise GVRD of Council’s decision, in writing, by Wednesday, June 17, 1998, to the attention of Paulette Vetleson, Secretary.
