   FROM:     Mayor Philip W. Owen

   RE:       VANCOUVER LIQUOR LICENSING COMMISSION:
             CHANGE TO MEMBERSHIP



   The current membership of the Vancouver Liquor Licensing Commission is:

        Councillor Kennedy, Chair
        Councillor Bellamy, Vice-Chair
        Councillor Chiavario 
        Councillor Daniel Lee

        Councillor Herbert is the alternate.

   Councillor Chiavario has requested she be appointed as the alternate
   member, rather than a full member of the Commission.  In addition to her
   regular duties as a member of Council,  Councillor Chiavario was
   recently elected Chair of the Lower Mainland Treaty Advisory Committee. 
   She is a Vancouver representative on the GVRD Board of Directors and
   also serves on the GVRD Housing, Parks and Sewerage and Drainage
   Committees.
   Councillor Herbert has advised me he would be pleased to become a full
   member of the Commission.

   I, therefore, RECOMMEND that Council amend the membership of the
   Vancouver Liquor Licensing Commission by appointing Councillor Herbert
   as a member, and Councillor Chiavario as the alternate.
