• This is a Special Council meeting called by the Mayor under sections 2.5(a) and 14.5 of the Procedure By-law for the purpose of convening a Business License Hearing.
• This Special Council meeting is to be convened by electronic means as authorized by Part 14 of the Procedure By-law and the Vancouver Charter.

1. Business Licence Application No. 23-157105 - Suspension (Short Term Rental) 216-1166 Melville Street
On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, a Special Council (Business Licence Hearing) will take place in the Council Chamber to determine whether the Chief Licence Inspector’s decision to suspend the 2023 business licence (“Business Licence”) issued to Farid Rahimi (the “Licencee”) for business premises located at 216-1166 Melville St Vancouver, British Columbia (the “Premises”), should be upheld, overturned, or attach conditions to the Business Licence.
Iain Dixon, Lawyer and Assistant Director, Regulatory Litigation, Legal Services, will represent the City of Vancouver. Nicole Tam, Lawyer, will represent the Licencee.
