• This is a Special Council meeting called by the Mayor under sections 2.5(a) and 14.5 of the Procedure By-law for the purpose of convening a Business License Hearing.
• This Special Council meeting is to be convened by electronic means as authorized by Part 14 of the Procedure By-law and the Vancouver Charter.

414 – 180 East 2nd Avenue
On Tuesday, June 14, 2022, a Business Licence Hearing will take place in the Council Chamber to determine whether the Chief Licence Inspector’s decision to cancel the Business Licence (“Business Licence”) issued to Gary Buchanan (the “Licencee”) for a Short Term Rental Accommodation located at 414 – 180 East 2nd Avenue (the “premises”) should be upheld, overturned or attach conditions to the business licence.
Iain Dixon, Assistant Director of Legal Services – Regulatory Litigation, will represent the City of Vancouver. The Licencee will represent themselves.
