Appointments to the Development Permit Board Advisory Panel and First Shaughnessy Advisory Design Panel

A. THAT Kim Maust be appointed to the Development Permit Board Advisory Panel as the Vancouver Heritage Commission representative, term to commence immediately and end December 7, 2014;

FURTHER THAT John Stovell be appointed as an alternate to attend Development Permit Board Advisory Panel meetings in place of Kim Maust, should she be unable to attend, term to commence immediately and end December 7, 2014.

B. THAT Mollie Massie be appointed to the First Shaughnessy Advisory Design Panel as the Vancouver Heritage Commission representative, term to commence immediately and end December 7, 2014.

Nominations for Freedom of the City Awards

Vancouver City Council unanimously supported nominations for the following individuals:

THAT Vancouver City Council grant the Freedom of the City Award to Jimmy Pattison.

THAT Vancouver City Council grant the Freedom of the City Award to Judy Graves.

THAT Vancouver City Council grant the Freedom of the City Award to the Vancouver Police Pipe Band.

Verbal Briefing: Exempt Staff 2014 Remuneration

THAT Council approve the Exempt Staff 2014 Salaries, as follows:

• Provide a general market adjustment of 1.75%, effective April 1, 2014.

• Provide a market adjustment of 2.5% for pay bands 10, 11, 12 (mid-level managers), effective April 1, 2014.

• Employees paid at less than the maximum salary of the applicable range will be eligible for a step increase in accordance with the current salary structure on their hire anniversary date; subject to satisfactory performance.

• Notwithstanding the foregoing, there will be no adjustment to the annual salary for the City Manager for 2014.
