AGENDA ITEMS:
1. West End Mayor’s Advisory Committee (WEMAC) Community Priorities Survey Video Clip of this Item
Vancouver City Council, at its meeting on September 20, 2011, referred this matter to the Standing Committee on Planning and Environment meeting on October 6, 2011, in order to hear from speakers. Subsequently, on October 6, 2011, the Committee concluded hearing from speakers and due to time constraints, referred discussion and decision to a Standing Committee in the week of October 18, 2011, in order to provide the opportunity for staff
and the West End Mayor’s Advisory Committee to respond to questions.
The attached motion refers.
2. Aboriginal Engagement Video Clip of this Item
Vancouver City Council, at its meeting on February 3, 2011, requested staff to report back on options in regard to engaging with the Aboriginal community, particularly through the following:
(a) Developing a structure for the City to engage with urban Aboriginal and First Nations;
(b) Convening a Summit; and
(c) Opportunities to engage with Aboriginal youth.
Accordingly, staff from Social Policy will provide a presentation on the matter.
Interested parties have been notified, some of whom may wish to speak.
3. Tenanting Update on the 14 Social/Supportive Housing Sites Video Clip of this Item
The attached Administrative Report dated October 11, 2011 , refers.
