Acquisition of a portion of 4442 Atlin Street for Renfrew Ravine Park

A. THAT Council authorize the Director of Real Estate Services to negotiate and execute an Offer to Purchase for the easterly 4 metres (228 sqft) of unimproved land from the registered owner situated at 4442 Atlin Street, legally described as Parcel Identifier: 023-208—368, Lot C South East Quarter of Section 47, Town of Hastings Suburban Lands, Plan LMP 25245 at a purchase price of $25,000, for park purposes, with the source of funding to be the Park Board’s 2006-2008 Land Acquisition Capital Account.

B. THAT, in connection with the proposed subdivision of 4442 Atlin Street to create the 4 metre parcel and pursuant to Section 11.8 of the City of Vancouver Subdivision By-Law No. 5208 (the “Subdivision By- Law”), Council waive Section 11.7 of the Subdivision By- Law which requires, as a condition precedent to the approval of any subdivision, that the applicant shall enter into an agreement with the City that will ensure that all power, telephone and other wire or cable within the subdivision shall be installed underground at no cost to the City.

E-Comm: Change in Board Appointment

THAT Council rescind the following motion, which was approved by City Council (In Camera) on April 21, 2011:

A. THAT Council appoint Dr. Penny Ballem as the City’s E-Comm Board member for the next four weeks and then appoint Mr. Sadhu Johnston for the remainder of the 2010-2011 Term in place of Ms. Cindy Grauer.

B. THAT Council appoint Mr. Sadhu Johnston as the City’s E-Comm Board member for the 2011-2012 term.

THAT Council appoint Dr. Penny Ballem as the City’s representative to the E-Comm Board of Directors for the remainder of the 2010-2011 term, and for the 2011-2012 term.
