Statutory Designation as Deputy City Clerk

THAT Council approve the delegation of the City Clerk’s authority under the provisions of section 4 of the Vancouver Charter to appoint Deputies:

i. to Barb Pearce for the duration of her incumbency as Director of Administration, Information and Election Services; and
ii. to Lesley Matthews, Acting Director of Public Access and Council Services, from May 4 to December 31, 2010.

Verbal Briefing – Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILT)

Sadhu Johnston, Deputy City Manager, provided an overview on the status of negotiations between municipalities and regional port authorities with regard to Payments in Lieu of Taxes, and noted staff will report back in approximately two months with proposed recommendations.
