THAT Council appoint the following individuals to the Vancouver Economic Development Commission for three-year terms to end April 30, 2013:

7228 Knight Street – Property Acquisition for Left Turn Bays on Knight Street at 57th Avenue
THAT Council authorize the Director of Real Estate Services to proceed with the acquisition of 25.3 square metres (272 sq ft) of land for road purposes from 7228 Knight Street , legally described as Parcel Identifier : 010-934-456 Lot 48, Except The West 7 Feet Now Road, Blocks 29 to 31 District Lot 200 Plan 1770 at a total cost of $39,000. Funding for the acquisition is available from the 2009 Street Basic Capital Budget for Arterial Improvements- Clark/Knight Corridor (A4A1).
No legal rights or obligations shall arise or be created until all legal documentation is fully executed on terms and conditions to the satisfaction of the Directors of Real Estate and Legal Services.

Application for Federal Funding to Support Citywide Pilot Project Entitled "citizenU"
A. THAT Council authorize the City Manager to enter into a contractual agreement with Citizenship and Immigration Canada to develop and deliver a citywide pilot on anti-racism and intercultural leadership development for youth and their families.
B. THAT Council approve an overall budget for this Project of $1,441,000 (over three years), the source of funding being:
• $905,000 cash contribution from Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s Multiculturalism Program;
• $178,000 in-kind contribution from the City of Vancouver in the form of staff supervision and administrative costs;
• $305,000 in-kind contribution from community partner organizations (including Vancouver Board of Education and Community Centre Associations) in the form of venue and equipment rentals and staff time;
• $53,000 in-kind contribution from youth volunteers in the form of time.
