Appointments to Civic Agencies

A. THAT Council appoint Jennifer Natland to the Vancouver City Planning Commission for a one-year term to commence immediately and end December 7, 2010, replacing resigned member Warren Wong; and

FURTHER THAT Council appoint Karenn Krangle as an alternate for a one-year term to end December 7, 2010, should a vacancy arise.

B. THAT Council appoint the following individuals to the Vancouver Heritage Foundation Board for two-year terms to end April 30, 2012:

Verbal Briefing: TransLink Shortlist of Options for UBC Line Study

Jerry Dobrovolny, Assistant City Engineer, Transportation, provided an overview of TransLink’s shortlist of options for the UBC Line Study, reviewed the City’s estimates on ridership with each option and noted that staff will be bringing rapid transit principles along the Broadway corridor to Council on April 22, 2010. Mr. Dobrovolny, together with Penny Ballem, City Manager, and Steve Brown, Transportation Engineer, responded to questions.
