THAT staff meet with CUPE 1004 representatives to discuss labour impacts resulting from the downsizing of the Vancouver Landfill composting facility, as described in the Administrative Report dated January 20, 2010, entitled “Award of Contract for Composting Yard Trimmings and Food Waste”, and report back to Council on the results of those labour relation discussions in the public report on implementing a food waste collection and composting program.
