Lease of 6405-6445 Knight Street to Vancouver Coastal Health Authority
THAT Council approve a lease to Vancouver Coastal Health Authority (formerly Vancouver/Richmond Health Board) for the premises situated at 6405-6445 Knight Street legally described as Lots 9 to 16, Block 5, District Lot 730, Plan 9586 on the following terms and conditions:
Term: Five (5) years commencing on January 1, 2010.

Use: offices for the South Community Health Centre
Renewal
Option: One five (5) year option to renew.Termination: Both the Tenant and the Landlord have the right to terminate the Lease upon six (6) months written notice at any time during the Term. The Landlord shall also have the right to terminate the Lease should the Landlord’s obligation to repair under the Lease be excessive as soley determined by the Landlord.
All other general terms of the present lease to apply to the new lease, to be drawn to the satisfaction of the Directors of Legal and Real Estate Services, it being noted that no legal right or obligation are created hereby and none shall arise hereafter until the execution of the lease documents.
Funds to be credited to the Property Endowment Fund.

Lease of 1430 Burrard Street to Bing Thom Architects Inc.
THAT Council approve a lease to Bing Thom Architects Inc. for the premises situated at 1430 Burrard Street legally described as the South 2/3 of Lot 6, North 2/3 of Lot 7, and Amended Lot 8, all of Block 120, DL 541, Plan 210; on the following terms and conditions:
Term: Five (5) years commencing on May 1, 2009, plus one 5-year renewal option.

Use: office premises, workshop & storage
Termination: The Landlord shall have the right to terminate the Lease upon twelve (12) months written notice at any time during the Term.

Verbal Briefing: Cambie Village Business Improvement Association – Negotiation Issues
Penny Ballem, City Manager, provided an update on negotiations regarding the Cambie Village BIA 2009 funding grant request, and noted a report would be forthcoming to a Standing Committee meeting on Thursday of this week.
