5160 Joyce Street – Lease to Joyce Station Area Planning Association

THAT Council approve a lease at 5160 Joyce Street to the Joyce Station Area Planning Association on the following terms and conditions:

1. Rent: [ … ];
2. Term: 5 years commencing October 1, 2008 with an option to renew for a further 5 year term;
3. Use: community crime prevention office; and
4. Such other terms and conditions as are acceptable to the Director of Real Estate Services, it being noted that no legal rights or obligations shall arise until the execution of the lease.

The relevant report remains sensitive and cannot be released.

Verbal Briefing – Report Back on False Creek Residential Leaseholder Negotiations

THAT the City Manager, Director of Legal Services, and Director of Real Estate Services be authorized to continue discussions (Counter Proposal Period) with individual residential strata lot leaseholders or their representatives, of the amount of ground rent to be paid to the City by those leaseholders whose ground rent has not already been prepaid, for the ten year period of the terms of the leases now under rent review in the strata developments commonly referred to as VR419, VR442, VR466, VR514, VR551, VR552 and VR588. The Counter Proposal Period to be concluded by January 31, 2009.
