Request by Councillor Woodsworth to travel to City of Vernon to attend their Winter Carnival, February 4 - 5, 2005 on behalf of Mayor Campbell.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT Council give consideration to authorize payment for Councillor Ellen Woodsworth to attend the Vernon Winter Carnival on February 4-5, 2005; funding estimated at $500.00 and is available from the Mayor's budget.

The City Manager submits this report for Council's CONSIDERATION.

COUNCIL POLICY

The City Travel Policy Expenses.

PURPOSE

This report requests approval for Councillor Ellen Woodsworth to attend the Vernon Winter Carnival on behalf of Mayor Campbell.

DISCUSSION

Councillor Woodsworth will be representing Mayor Larry Campbell at the Vernon Winter Carnival. They have given Vancouver the distinction of being their "Honoured City" at the 45^th annual Vernon Winter Carnival in February 2005.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS

The estimated costs to be funded from the Mayor's Budget are as follows:
