BUSINESS LICENSE HEARING MINUTES
JANUARY 13, 2005
A Business License Hearing of the Council of the City of Vancouver was held on, Thursday, January 13, 2005, in the Council Chamber, Third Floor, City Hall, commencing at 10:35 a.m., to determine whether or not a City of Vancouver business license for the year 2005 will be granted to Hosam Abdulrahman Yassin (the "License Applicant"), doing business as Hot Pizza, for business premises located at 435 Abbott Street, Vancouver, British Columbia (the "Premises").

435 Abbott Street, Vancouver, British Columbia (File 2711-78)
Mr. Iain Dixon, Solicitor, City of Vancouver, introduced the License Applicant, and advised the License Applicant has requested the services of a Kurdish interpreter. Mr. Dixon also advised the City was not aware of the need for an interpreter until the start of the hearing; therefore, one had not been retained. Mr. Dixon suggested the hearing be postponed to January 19, 2005.
MOVED by Councillor Bass
THAT the business license hearing for Hosam Abdulrahman Yassin (the License Applicant) dba Hot Pizza, for business premises located at 435 Abbott Street, Vancouver, British Columbia (the Premises), be postponed to January 19, 2005, in order to retain a Kurdish interpreter, at the request of the License Applicant.
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY
The Business License Hearing Panel adjourned at 10:37 a.m.
