A By-law amending Security Alarm System By-law No. 7111
to regulate the use and possession of security alarm systems

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VANCOUVER, in public meeting, enacts as follows:

1. Council amends the Security Alarm System By-law by:

2. Council inserts into the Security Alarm System By-law the following as sections 1 to 40:

Exception to Alarm Company notification

Alarm Company monitoring records

Force and effect

3. This By-law is to come into force and take effect on the date of its enactment.

SCHEDULE A - Fees

Fees

An applicant for an alarm permit or a permit holder must pay the following fees when the applicant or permit holder applies for issuance or reinstatement of an alarm permit:

Description of Premises Fees

1. Issuance of an alarm permit:

a. Residential *$15.00 - $17.55 - $18.00 per year

b. Small Business or Commercial (less *$25.00 - $29.25 - $30.00 per year

than 140 square metres in floor area
intended to be protected by the
alarm system)

c. Large Business or Commercial (140 *$50.00 - $58.50 - $60.00 per year

square metres or larger in floor area
intended to be protected by the alarm
system)

2. On the first occasion of an Alarm Permit cancellation, the Level One Reinstatement Fee Schedule will be applied as follows:
