Approval of BIA Budgets - Result of Victoria Dr BIA Budget Vote |
The following refers to Council agenda Administrative Report A.16 - Approval of 2004 -2005 Business Improvement Area (BIA) Budgets:
On page 11, in the section titled "Victoria Dive BIA Business Promotion Scheme & Budget for 2004-05", staff reported that at the time of writing, the business promotion scheme was yet to be approved by a majority of Victoria Drive Business Association members present at a general meeting to be held on March 17, 2004, and that staff would subsequently report the results to Council.
Staff are now able to confirm that a general meeting of the Victoria Drive Business Association was held on March 17, 2004, and that a majority of members present approved a business promotion scheme and a first-year budget of $75,000 as anticipated in the Council Report. The Victoria Drive Business Association has now fulfilled the prerequisite to Council approval of its budget as listed in Recommendation A of the Report.
