SIGNIFICANT NEW REZONING APPLICATIONS

Proposal:
· CD-1 to reflect existing use and recently-built form of development, plus:
· replacement of seasonal tennis bubbles with higher bubbles;
· an underground storage facility for the folded bubbles;
· expansion of partially below grade locker area;
· seasonal enclosure of areas of the existing south facing terraces;
· possible slight modifications to the footprints of the bubbles to accommodate new structural supporting tracks; and
· permanence in the status of the bubbles and the court lighting as seasonal uses.

Applicable Plans, Policies and Guidelines:
· Previous DE approvals done on the understanding that the club would apply for CD-1 rezoning.

Issues:
· Increase in tennis bubble height
· Intensity of use with enclosed terraces
· permanent status of the bubbles and court lighting

CAC Implications:
· Likely none as proposed density within max. density permitted under RT-2
