SUBJECT:

Text Amendment: 1601 West Georgia Street

At it's meeting of June 24, 2003, City Council approved the recommendations of the report Minor CD-1 Text Amendments - 1601 West Georgia Street/1601-1650 Bayshore Drive and referred the report to Public Hearing. Included in that report were proposed text amendments to the CD-1 By-law to permit a specified portion of bicycle storage above base surface to be excluded from floor area calculations. The area suggested contained a note explaining the amount would be confirmed prior to Public Hearing.

That area has now been confirmed as 190 m2 and this figure is included in the by-law before you tonight. Staff have further determined that the height of bicycle storage above base surface should be limited, therefore an 850 mm height limit is also included in the by-law.
