The following schedule of Council meetings for 2003 is recommended:

1:30 p.m., Monday Council Briefing (or workshop). Briefings/workshops are held to provide background information and an understanding of significant issues before a relevant report is publicized or is before Council for a decision.

9:30 a.m., Tuesday Standing Committee on Transportation & Traffic (T&T) and Regular Council meeting to adopt the recommendations of the Committee.

9:30 a.m., Tuesday Business License Hearing
or 7:30 p.m. Thursday

4:00 p.m., Tuesday Regular Council Meeting (meeting to be held: 4 to 6 p.m., break, and reconvene 7:30 to 10 p.m.)

7:30 pm, Wednesday Public Hearing; Court of Revision (Crt of Revision - Eng.
or Thursday {Engineering - for approval of Local Improvements} or

BIA {for approval of Business Improvement Area boundaries
and levies})

9:30 a.m., Thursday Standing Committee on City Services & Budgets (CS&B) and Regular Council meeting to adopt the recommendations of the Committee.

2:00 p.m., Thursday Standing Committee on Planning & Environment (P&E) and Regular Council meeting to adopt the recommendations of the Committee.

Additional evenings have been reserved for Special Council meetings to be held on single-issue items, if required.

In addition to the foregoing schedule, Council members are requested to reserve all Wednesday and Thursday evenings, during the weeks of Regular Council meetings, as well as an additional three Tuesday evenings on skip Council meeting weeks, for the scheduling of Special Council meetings and additional Public Hearings as may be required.

Council members are also requested to reserve all Monday afternoons (1:30 to 3:30 pm), during the weeks of Regular Council meetings, for the scheduling of Council workshops/briefings. Please note the briefing for the week of April 21 to 25 has been scheduled for April 28 as April 21 is Easter Monday.
