Local Improvement Reballots from December 4, 2001, Court of Revision
RECOMMENDATION
A. THAT Court #604, Item #026, BE APPROVED for lane pavement to the grass edge on the south side of the lane (approximately 18 inches off the fence) on the lane south of 2nd Avenue from Macdonald Street to 166.86 feet east
B. THAT Court #604, Item #031, NOT BE APPROVED for lane pavement on the lane south of 29th Avenue from Fleming Street to the east property line of the lane east of Fleming Street projected and the lane east of Fleming Street from the lane south of 29th Avenue to 31st Avenue
POLICY
Policies governing the Local Improvement Process are set out in the Vancouver Charter and the Local Improvement Procedure By-Law. The projects dealt with in this report have gone through the legal requirements in the process, but Council has requested additional information on project support/opposition through the reballot before giving final approval.
PURPOSE
At the December 4, 2001, Court of Revision, Council instructed staff to reballot these local improvement petition projects. The results are as follows:

Based on the ballot results, there is sufficient support for this project to proceed at the narrower width. We are recommending the lane be paved to the grass edge on the south side of the lane (approximately 18 inches off the fence).
