A Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Vancouver was held on Tuesday, February 5, 2002, at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chamber, Third Floor, City Hall.

Memorandum from the Director of City Plans
January 31, 2002
Before Council was a memorandum from the Director of City Plans, dated January 31, 2002, which noted that on December 13, 2001, Council considered the Business Improvement Area (BIA) application from the South Granville BIA - Mid-term Funding Ceiling Increase.
The application was described in an Appendix to the memorandum. Property owners in the BIA area were given appropriate notification as required by the Vancouver Charter, and business tenants also received notification according to City policy.
Circulated at the meeting was a memorandum, dated February 5, 2002, from the Director of City Plans, which provided information on the objections received for the BIA application, updated to 5:00 p.m., February 5, 2002.
Peter Vaisbord, BIA Coordinator, reviewed the objections received for the application.
There were no speakers on this BIA Mid-term Funding Ceiling Increase.

THAT the application of the South Granville Business Improvement Association, as described in Appendix A of the memorandum dated January 31, 2002, from the Director of City Plans, be approved and that the Director of Legal Services, in consultation with the Director of City Plans, prepare a by-law to establish a new funding ceiling for its current 5-year term ending March 31, 2004.
