SUBJECT:	Authority to Travel from Vancouver, BC to New York, New York to attend the Congress for the New Urbanism - From Neighbourhood to Region - June 7-10, 2001

RECOMMENDATION

THAT Council authorize Councillor Gordon Price to travel from Vancouver to New York, New York, to attend the Congress for the New Urbanism Conference, at an estimated cost of $2,846.

CITY MANAGER'S COMMENTS

The City Manager submits the recommendation for Council's CONSIDERATION.

COUNCIL POLICY

Council's travel policy, approved July 31, 1992, requires Council's approval for travel outside the GVRD, within North America.

PURPOSE

This report requests approval for Councillor Price to travel on City business from Vancouver to New York, New York, June 7-10, 2001 in order to attend the Congress for the New Urbanism Conference.
